Literature Text

I hopped upon a passing cloud,
and declared myself a king out loud.
Then I snatched a woeful bride,
To keep as princess by my side.

I splashed a puddle ten foot wide.
I splashed the water from side to side.
The water splashed on all the skirts,
on all the trousers and all the shirts.

I made a somersault in the air,
whilst my bracelet made a tear,
in the fabric of the sky.
Now all the heavens do is cry.

I fished the moon out of a lake.
I baked the moon into a cake.
I ate the cake made of the moon.
but I ate that cake, all too soon.

I bought a sickle, I bought the farm.
I payed the piper, I did no harm.
Yet all the hair under my hat,
turned silvery-gray just like that!

'Cause
I am every bit of nonsense I can be,
I am every injustice you will see.
For all the crazy in the land,
will find in me a helping hand.
